ESTIMATING
Every fire sprinkler system is unique and each has a specific hydraulic demand
based on a buildings occupancy. A single-family home may require only
twenty-six gallons-per-minute, a multi-family sixty-five, while an industrial plant
may require many hundreds of gallons per minute. A water supply to a fire
sprinkler system is what a foundation is to a home. Our estimators will determine
the volume of water required for your system. Is a public supply available or
adequate or will a fire pump and storage tank need to be installed.
In new construction our estimators consult with our clients and review their
architectural drawings to determine the most efficient approach to an installation.
Aesthetic considerations, areas subject to freezing, constraints with respect
to framing or potential conflicts with other trades are just some of the items to
be considered when developing a comprehensive project proposal.

DESIGN
Our designers synthesize the estimators proposal into a workable plan to meet
your requirements and the applicable National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)
design standard while also determining the most efficient approach to the
installation. A design must be concise, allow for the creation of a detailed
fabrication and material list and provide the installing fitter with a clear roadmap
for the performance of their task. Life Safety Fire Protection, Inc accomplishes
this by utilizing the most current design software, preconstruction and ongoing
site visits and through the continuing education of our highly qualified system
designers. |

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Prior to job startup a Turnover Meeting is held with the Project Manager, Designer
and Lead Foreman to review the system layout, coordination of trades, time
allocation and critical goal points. Our Project Manager makes frequent visits to
job sites and is in daily contact with project Foremen. Experience has proven that
open and honest communication along with frequent site visits will flush out potential
issues before they become conflicts and provides the opportunity to measure both
the quality and progress of our installations. |

INSTALLATION
Our qualified pipe fitters have much to consider in the process of installing a system,
not the least of which is safety both individually and for others on the job site. Our
pipe fitters are the backbone of the company. They must communicate and work
well with site supervisors and the other trades people in order to coordinate an efficient
installation. Quality and efficiency go hand in hand to assure that final pressure testing
and inspections have positive results. |

PROJECT CLOSEOUT
Upon project completion we bundle and provide as-built drawings, component
diagrams and pertinent documents with a proposal for future inspection and testing of
your system. As with any mechanical system a fire sprinkler system must be properly
maintained to assure its continued reliable operation.
